Turning individual emails on or off
Once your flows are active, every email inside them sends automatically. If you'd rather not send a particular email - say, the last reminder in a series - you can turn it off on its own without affecting the rest of the flow.
Turning an email off
- Open Wiz → Flow Editor and expand the flow that contains the email.
- Find the email in the list. An active email shows a green Active badge and a ⋯ menu on the right.
- Click the ⋯ menu, then click the red Turn Off.

The email's badge changes from green Active to orange Inactive, and it stops sending. The flow's count updates to reflect the change - for example, a Welcome Flow of three emails drops from 3 of 3 to 2 of 3.
Turning an email back on
Follow the same steps: open the ⋯ menu next to the Inactive email and choose the turn-on action. The badge returns to green Active and the flow count goes back up.
What the badges and counts mean
Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
Active (green) | The email is on and sending |
Inactive (orange) | You've turned this email off; it won't send |
The "N of M" count on each flow (for example, 2 of 3) tells you how many of that flow's emails are currently active out of the total.
Common questions
Does turning off an email delete it?
No. It just stops sending. You can turn it back on any time and its design and timing are preserved.
Can I turn off a whole flow?
Turn off each email in the flow individually. To remove flows entirely and start over, see Regenerating your flows.
This also works for the pop-up.
Pop-up steps use the same ⋯ → Turn Off control. See the pop-up articles for details.
