Refreshing outdated product info in an email
If a product's image, name, or price looks out of date in one of your emails, it's because the product's details are pulled in at the moment you add it to the block. Updating the product in Shopify doesn't automatically re-sync it into an email you already built - but you can force a refresh in a few seconds.
How to force a refresh
- In the email editor, remove the product from the block.
- Save the email template.
- Exit the editor.
- Re-open the editor.
- Add the product again.
When you re-add it, Wiz fetches the latest data - current image, name, and price.
Common questions
Why didn't my price update automatically?
Product details are captured when the product is added to a block. Re-adding it (steps above) pulls the newest data from Shopify.
Does this apply to the dynamic cart blocks too?
No - the dynamic blocks in your Abandoned Cart and Checkout emails always render each customer's live cart at send time, so they're never out of date. Don't edit those (see Don't edit the dynamic cart blocks). This refresh trick is for manually chosen products in a Product Block.
