Editing an email
Every email Wiz builds - your flow emails and your campaigns - can be edited by hand. You can change the wording, swap images, restyle blocks, or add new ones. This article shows you how to open an email in the editor and gives you a quick tour of what's inside.
Opening a flow email
- Go to the Flow Editor (from the Wiz sidebar).
- Expand a flow and select the email you want to change. Its preview appears on the right.
- Click the Edit button above the preview to open the dropdown.

The Edit dropdown gives you three choices:
- Edit Subject Line & Preview Text - change the subject and the preview text (the short line shown next to the subject in the inbox) without opening the full editor.
- Edit Email Template - open the full drag-and-drop editor to change the email's design and content. This is the option covered below.
- Send Test Email - send yourself a copy to check before it goes live. See Sending a test email.
Choose Edit Email Template to open the editor.
A tour of the editor
The editor has two halves: the canvas on the right (a live preview of your email) and the settings panel on the left.

- Settings panel (left) - when you click a block in the canvas, its settings open here, so you can change its content and style.
- Desktop / mobile toggle - switch the preview between desktop and mobile so you can check how the email looks on both.
- Zoom - zoom the canvas in and out (there's also undo and redo here).
Adding blocks
Emails are built from blocks that you can add, reorder, and style. Wiz includes:
- Text
- Image
- Button
- Divider
- Spacer
- Navbar
- Social
- Countdown
- Coupon Code
- Shape Divider
- Product Block
Click a block in the canvas to select it and edit it in the left panel.
Where to go next
A few blocks and image types have their own guides:
- Editing your AI hero image - change the large AI-designed banner on emails that have one (like your 1st Welcome email and AI campaigns).
- Adding & editing product blocks - show products from a collection or a hand-picked list.
- Discount codes in emails - attach the right discount to a Coupon Code block.
- Don't edit the dynamic cart blocks - the one part of the Abandoned Checkout emails you should leave alone.
- Your email footer & business address - the address in your email footer is set in your settings, not the editor.
Common questions
Do my edits go live immediately?
Your changes save to that email's template. Flow emails send with your latest saved version; campaigns send when you schedule them.
I only want to change the subject line.
Use Edit Subject Line & Preview Text from the Edit dropdown - no need to open the full editor.
Will editing one email change the others?
No. Each email has its own template, so editing one email doesn't affect the rest of the flow.
