Sender name, email & reply-to
The sender name is what shows up in your customers' inbox as the "From" - usually your store name. Along with your sender email and reply-to address, it's set in Brand & Settings → Sender info.
Where to change it
Go to Brand & Settings → Sender info and find the Sender card:
- Sender name - the name recipients see in their inbox. Edit it and save.
- Sender email address - the address your emails come from. This depends on your sending domain (see below).
- Reply-to email address - where customer replies go. Set this to an inbox you actually monitor.
Edit the fields and save; changes apply to your flow and campaign emails going forward.
Which sender address can you use?
Your sender email comes from your sending domain, and you have two options:
- Shared Wiz domain - the default when you start. Your emails send from the shared Wiz domain (
email-wiz.com), so no setup is needed. - Your own custom domain - once you connect your domain, emails send from it instead. By default the sender address is
contact@yourdomain.com(see Connecting your domain).
Want a sender address other than contact@yourdomain.com - say hello@yourdomain.com or name@yourdomain.com? Get in touch with our team and we'll set up the profile you'd like.
Need a change beyond these fields?
If you want to change something that isn't editable on the Sender info page, get in touch with our team and we'll see if it's possible.
Common questions
How do I change the name customers see in their inbox?
Edit the Sender name in Brand & Settings → Sender info.
How do I send from my own domain instead of email-wiz.com?
Connect a custom domain - see Connecting your domain. Once it's verified, your emails send from contact@yourdomain.com by default.
Can I send from my Gmail or a personal email address?
No. The sender has to be the shared Wiz domain or a custom domain you've connected and verified - personal inboxes like Gmail can't be used as the sender.
Can I use a different address than contact@yourdomain.com?
Yes - get in touch with our team and we can set up a different profile, like name@yourdomain.com.
Where do replies go?
To whatever you set as the Reply-to email address. Use a monitored inbox so you don't miss customer replies.
