How the pop-up works
Your Wiz pop-up is the sign-up form that greets visitors on your storefront and collects their email (and optionally their phone number) in exchange for your welcome discount. It lives inside the Flow Editor as its own entry, right alongside your email flows.
Open the Flow Editor and click Pop-up in the Flow Selector to expand it. You'll see it is made up of four steps.
The four steps
Step | What it does |

Opt-in Email | The main sign-up screen - your offer, the email field, and the sign-up button. This is the core of the pop-up. |
Opt-in SMS | An optional second screen that also asks for the visitor's phone number. |
Confirmation | The "thank you" screen shown after someone signs up (also called the Success step). |
Teaser | A small tab or reminder that can invite visitors to reopen the pop-up. Off by default. |
The count next to Pop-up (for example, 3 of 4) tells you how many steps are currently switched on.
Opt-in SMS is optional
You don't have to collect phone numbers. If you'd rather capture email only, simply turn the Opt-in SMS step off - the pop-up will work perfectly as an email-only sign-up form.
The Teaser is off by default
The Teaser ships switched off. You can turn it on if you want it, but nothing about your pop-up depends on it.
Turning steps on and off
Each step can be switched on or off individually - the same way you manage individual flow emails.
- In the expanded Pop-up list, find the step you want to change.
- Click the ⋯ menu on the right of that step.
- Choose Turn Off.
To switch a step back on, open the same ⋯ menu and turn it on again. An active step shows a green Active badge; a switched-off step shows an Inactive badge.
Before your pop-up can appear
Configuring the steps here isn't quite enough on its own: the pop-up only shows on your storefront once the Wiz app embed is enabled in your Shopify theme. That's set up during onboarding - see Setting up Wiz.

Common questions
Do I have to collect phone numbers?
No. Turn off the Opt-in SMS step and the pop-up captures email only.
What's the Teaser for?
It's an optional reminder that can bring the pop-up back after a visitor closes it. It's off by default, so you only see it if you turn it on.
How do I change what the pop-up looks like or says?
