Customizing your pop-up design

Wiz builds your pop-up automatically from your branding, but you can fine-tune almost every part of it - the colors, the wording, the logo, the fonts, and which fields you ask for. All of this happens in the Popup Editor.

Opening the Popup Editor

  1. Open the Flow Editor and expand Pop-up.
  2. Select the step you want to edit (for example, Opt-in Email).
  3. On the preview panel, click Edit, then Edit Pop-up Template.

The editor opens with all the design settings on the left and a live preview of your pop-up on the right. You can switch the preview between desktop and mobile.

What you can customize

The settings panel is organized into sections:

  • Logo - the image shown at the top of the pop-up, plus a Size option.
  • Color Editor - the pop-up's colors: background, button, discard (the decline link), text, and button text.
  • Border - turn the pop-up border on or off and set its color.
  • Side Image - an optional image displayed beside the form, with position, container fit, and background color. The side image is shown on desktop only.
  • Text Editor - every piece of copy: Title, Subtitle, Button, Decline ("No, thanks"), and Disclaimer. This is where you edit the discount wording and the fine print.
  • Font Family and Buttons Shape - the typeface and the button corner style.
  • Fields - which fields the form asks for.

Editing the text

Most wording lives under Text Editor. Each line has its own field:

Field

Example

Title Text

"Want 10% off your first order?"

Subtitle Text

"Join our newsletter to get a 10% off discount"

Button Text

"Get Your Discount"

Decline Text

"No, thanks"

Disclaimer Text

the consent fine print shown under the form

If you change the discount you offer, remember to update the Title and Subtitle here so the pop-up's promise matches the real code. Changing a discount touches a few places - see Changing a discount.

The form fields

Under Fields, you control what the visitor is asked to enter:

  • Name - optional. Tick it to collect the visitor's name; leave it unchecked to skip it.
  • Email - always on. Email is the pop-up's core purpose, so it can't be switched off.

Saving your changes

As you edit, Shopify shows an Unsaved changes bar at the top. Click Save to publish your changes, then check your storefront (a private/incognito window is easiest) to see the updated pop-up.

Common questions

Can I use a picture next to the sign-up form?

Yes - add one under Side Image. Note that it only appears on desktop, not mobile.

Can I turn off the name field?

The name field is optional and unchecked by default, so it's already off unless you turn it on. The email field can't be turned off.

Where do I change the offer wording?

In the Text Editor - update the Title and Subtitle text.
