Why you should connect your own domain
When you install Wiz, your emails start out sending from a shared Wiz domain. That's fine as a starting point - it means you can send straight away - but connecting your own domain is the setup we strongly recommend, and it's required before you can send campaigns.
Shared domain vs. your own domain
Shared domain (the default). Wiz assigns you an address on a shared sending domain so everything works out of the box. Good for getting started; not ideal long term.
Your own domain (recommended). Sending from your own domain means:
- Better deliverability - more of your emails land in the inbox instead of spam.
- A sender reputation you own - your sending history builds under your domain, not a shared one influenced by other senders.
- A consistent, trustworthy from-address - customers see your brand, not a generic domain.
Where to set it up
Go to Brand & Settings → Sender info. The Sender section shows your current sending setup and a Setup Domain option to connect your own.
