Switching or disconnecting your domain
Once your sending domain is connected and verified, you can change it any time - for example, if you're rebranding, moving to a new domain, or you set up the wrong one. This article shows how.
When your domain is connected
Go to Brand & Settings → Sender info. When a domain is fully set up, the Sender section shows a green Connected badge, along with your Root Domain, Sender domain, and sending addresses.
To change or remove it, click Disconnect custom domain in the top-right of the Root Domain row.

Connecting a different domain
After disconnecting, set up the new domain the same way you did the first:
- On Sender info, use Setup Domain.
- Enter your new domain and add the DNS records at your domain provider.
- Tick I've added these records and click Verify Records.
For the full step-by-step, see Connecting your domain.
Common questions
Do I lose anything by disconnecting?
Your flows, campaigns, and contacts are unaffected - disconnecting only changes which domain your emails send from. Wiz keeps sending from the shared domain in the meantime.
Can I switch back to the shared domain and not connect a new one?
Yes. Disconnecting your custom domain returns you to the shared domain. Keep in mind that sending campaigns requires a connected domain.
Will my new domain need DNS records again?
Yes. Each domain has to be verified with its own DNS records, so connecting a new one repeats the setup process.
