Setting up Wiz

When you install Wiz, a short setup builds your entire email system automatically - your flows, your pop-up, and a starter set of campaigns - all matched to your store's branding. Here's what to expect, step by step.

Step 1 - Pick your maximum discount

Choose the highest discount you're comfortable offering. Wiz uses this to create the discount codes for your flows, assigning sensible values per flow based on best practices (not every flow uses the maximum). 15% is recommended for most stores.

Don't worry about getting this perfect - you can change your discounts later. Picking a value here doesn't start sending any emails.

Step 2 - Enable the Wiz app embed

For your pop-up to appear on your storefront (and for Wiz to react to what visitors do), you need to turn on the Wiz Script in your Shopify theme.

1. Click Enable Script - this opens your Shopify theme editor.
2. Toggle Wiz Script on, then click Save.
3. Back in Wiz, the status changes to Active. Click Continue.

Step 3 - Confirm your brand's look & feel

Wiz automatically detects your logo, colors, fonts, and language from your website and fills them in for you. Review everything and fine-tune anything that isn't quite right. On the right, a live example email shows how your brand looks with your real products.

When it looks right, click Generate My Emails. You can always edit your branding later from Brand & Settings.

Step 4 - Wiz builds your emails

Generation takes a few moments while Wiz designs your emails using your branding and products.

When it's done, you'll see everything Wiz created for you - your Welcome flow, Abandoned Checkout, Browse Abandonment, Thank You, and Winback flows, plus your pop-up.

What's next?

Your emails are built, but they're not sending yet. The final step is to turn them on - see Activating your emails.
