Activating your emails

After setup, Wiz has built all your flows and your pop-up - but nothing is sending yet. This is deliberate: installing Wiz never emails your customers automatically. You stay in control until you switch everything on.

Turning your emails on

When you first open the Flow Editor, you'll see a banner at the top and every email marked Pending Activation. Click Activate to turn on all your flows and your pop-up at once.

Once activated, the banner turns green, your emails show an Active badge, and Wiz begins sending automatically based on what your customers do.

Good to know

  • You can turn things off individually. If you'd rather not run a particular email or flow, you can disable it - see Turning individual emails on and off.
  • Campaigns are separate. Activation covers your automated flows and pop-up. One-off campaigns are created and sent on their own, and require a connected sending domain.

Common questions

Will activating email my existing customers right away?

Flows send based on actions from that point on - for example, someone joining your list or abandoning a cart. Activating doesn't blast your whole customer list; that's what campaigns are for.

I activated but my pop-up isn't showing.

Check that the Wiz app embed is enabled in your Shopify theme (see Setting up Wiz, Step 2). The pop-up can't appear without it.
